NOW HIRING A: Prepress Operator

This full-time position is responsible for outputting printing plates using computer-to-plate (CTP) equipment. The qualified candidate will be comfortable operating computers and performing minor equipment adjustments after being trained. The position requires the ability to occasionally load 20 lb packages of plates into a CTP device. A strong attention detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently are also required. The candidate must be available to work evening hours. It is helpful but not required for the candidate to have prior experience with a prepress operation, Adobe InDesign and Acrobat, or some knowledge of printing. Experience with photography can be helpful, as this position also helps color correct photos. The North of Boston Media Group, based in North Andover, publishes seven newspapers including this one you are reading.
